This year marks the 51st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mexico. In order to celebrate this important year of diplomatic history and to deepen the understanding of the Latin American exhibition, the Consulate General of Mexico in Guangzhou held the "2023 (Guangzhou) Ibero-American Film Festival", jointly with the consulates general of 10 Latin American countries in Guangzhou and The Consulate General in Guangzhou, I, as a representative of the
MZY factory, was honored to be invited to watch movies. From April 11th to June 29th, it lasted for 3 months and organized to show movies from different countries at the Consulate General of Mexico in Guangzhou every Thursday night. , can be described as enjoying a gluttonous cultural feast.
During the four months from April to August, I "traveled" all over Latin America without leaving Guangzhou, enjoyed the beautiful natural scenery of each country, and intensively studied Latin American human history, wonderful and diverse traditional culture and real social conditions. It's been a magical summer!
After experiencing this grand diplomatic and cultural event, and witnessing the profound friendship between the Chinese people and the people of Latin American countries, every movie is a comprehensive learning class. How can I benefit a lot and sum it up in a hurry! A sense of responsibility from the bottom of my heart has also grown stronger – I should use words to record this cultural feast that the Latin American people have dedicated to us. For me personally, these 4 months will also be an important experience in my life, which makes me feel grateful and joyful to share.
Every movie is a literary work: affectionate and straightforward, concise and complicated; romantic but not dark, sad but optimistic; truthful and straightforward but sometimes weird; See the big from the small, and explain the complex in a simple way; the theme is clear and the structure is compact; the shooting is superb and the vision is unique. The common point is to choose ordinary people, mostly small people, even people at the bottom of society, tell their ordinary stories, cover their faces with points, and reflect the whole society. Most of these films are regional or international award-winning films.
